this chow mein is so good.
i had lot of writer’s hesitation this week.
don’t know what that is? don’t worry, because I made it up.
writer’s block: the state or condition in which a writer is not able to pen down a draft of writing because of immense hesitation, most commonly caused by the extreme importance they hold over the piece of writing and because of this importance they fear imperfection.
that was a lot.
almost as much as realizing i’m not capitalizing anything in this article. why am i doing that? don’t worry about it, it’s a writer thing ;).
this block comes in many shapes and sizes, and for me, it came in the form of stanford supplementals.
sorry for not capitalizing you stanny :)
basically i was confused.
after a couple days of this confusion, i decided i’d talk to my roommate.
stanford asks us to send a note to our future roommate, so i figured i’d tell them about my condition.
it helped, and after, i was good as new.
solving writer’s block: talk to your roommate.
i honestly don’t know how to frame this week, because, like last week, this week was also just like all my other weeks… except i only took 2 breaks.
and almost burnt out.
long story short, i canceled my meetings on friday to go out with the fam, hiked a little, ran a bit more, and now feel good as new.
but it was pretty scary. life got pretty meaningless after a couple of work-filled-and-nothing-else-life-was-no-life days, and it wasn’t my jam.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.
this chow mein is so tasty.
i might as well get to the question you’ve been curious about… “why the heck did you name this mmh?”
a fierce love and appreciation for my family, first of all.
throughout the entire week, throughout these past 16 (almost 17) years, they’ve never questioned the work i do. they’ve always been supportive, given me everything i needed and more, and have been the coolest people ever.
i’m talking about it like i’m leaving them for college, but there is some truth to that.
my mom works so dam hard dude.
way too hard.
and i can’t put into words, or even syllabi (who knows if that’s how you say it), how much i love her.
it wouldn’t be true if i didn’t include my dad.
my chauffeur, my no.1 health coach, my amazing.
no words for him either.
and ATHARV (the only thing i’ll capitalize because my phone does that too)
he is my everything.
and that is on period.
thanks fam.
thanks friends
thanks frenemies (this is for the sake of the rule of thirds, i don’t even have frenemies)
shoutout to daniel, aditya, and karthik for asking for one.
i’ll end it here.
see you soon.
